One of the most exciting aspects of taking any vacation is seeing the unique places and attractions that can't be found anywhere else. In the city of Keszthely Hungary, the Island Baths certainly fit the bill. These relaxing, traditional baths were originally built in 1864. In the following years, the popularity of this activity prompted the building of another one in the year 1893. From there things continued to grow.

There is now another Island Bath that was built in 1960. Instead of taking the time to remodel the original wooden structures, at that time, they decided to build a new bath constructed out of steel and concrete. While it may not sound very pretty, it is considered to be one of the best constructed baths anywhere. The good news is the original wood baths have been remodeled since and feature gorgeously decorated entrances. You simply can't go to Keszethely and not visit the Island Baths. You will be glad you did.
