Located on the main road of Cobh, the Cobh museum is an amazing place to visit in the City. Primarily built as a church to accommodate the growing Presbyterian congration, then later donated to Cork City Council so that it can be used for cultural purposes. The preserved origonal features of the museum include the pulpit, bible, harmonium, lectern and pews. One can also find the most unusual copies of the three watercolours of the harbour and a pencil sketch of Black Rock Castle drawn by Queen Victoria when she visited the Cork Harbour in the 19th century.

There is also a very interesting research area where travellers/researchers can do their own research, . This consists of some ship lists and genersal research hints and relevant addresses for the person trying to locate or trace her Irish ancestors. The museum, open to the public from April to October, is run by a voluntary committee and staffed by a community employment scheme.
