The port town of Sligo sits insolently at the mouth of the River Garavogue. Here arrive the aficionados of the great poet W. B. Yeats. These tourists book hotels in Sligo close to the central core. This neo-Italian Renaissance building is by William Hague. Inside is a very elegant hall.
