One of the most well known homes in Ireland, Powerscourt graces the Wicklow Mountains a stones throw from the city of Dublin. The house is also home to the best of Irish design in gifts, clothes, and furniture in the Avoca Stores and the Interiors Gallery.

After a day of shopping and touring, you can treat yourself to a delicately prepared dish from the Avoca Cookbook in the Terrace Cafe. The gardens at the estate are astonishing. All 47 acres of gardens are remarkable, not only for their grandeur, but because they are full of whimsical delicacy combined with dignified refinement. Visitors are encouraged to walk through the many sections of the garden and enjoy their beauty and the history behind their existence. Situated near the house is Powerscourt Waterfall, Ireland's largest waterfall and a perfect place to picnic after a hike through the woods.
