 "Family weekend in Dublin"
The location is perfect for public transport into the city centre. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Bedrooms were average size. Matresses could be a better quality. Secure parking was an advantage!

The hotel was beautiful, expensive for food and drink but that is to be expected. The only thing I found unacceptable was the attitude of the night staff. We asked if we would be able to get a drink after hours (normally for hotel guests this is allowed if charged to the room) and were told in no uncertain terms not to bother him and what there was no way he would do this for us. Very rude man!! Apart from that, the 2 nights we stayed there were very good indeed.

 "Very Comfortable"
We booked at the Ashling Hotel during the Navy-ND football weekend, with many hotels in Dublin booked to capacity. After arriving from red-eye flight, early check-in was not available by complimentary luggage storage was. The hotel is not located in the primary tourist area, but is only a short 10-15 minute walk away, with the Luas train stopping close by and plentiful cabs. The hotel is clean and modern, and the Irish Breakfast buffet is great with many hearty options. We enjoyed the room, but prefer a softer mattress. Complimentary wifi was available and we were able to stay connected with no problems.The only minor complaint was the temperature of the rooms. Even with warm weather outside, no air conditioning was available. Unknown to us, our radiators were turned on, and it took us two nights to get them both turned off as we were unfamiliar with the controls. Even an open window was not enough to keep the room cool, but fans are available at the front desk and were helpful.Overall, I would recommend this hotel for the value, although if not traveling during a busy visitor period, I would have booked a more centrally located hotel.

The hotel was good ,friendly and a nice atmosphereWe were in the front of hotel but found it could get noisy as the windows are not double glazed.I didn't ask for us to be moved as we were only there for 4 nights but would have if the stay had been longer

Pros: This was my first visit to dublin, the location of the hotel was very good, the staff were all really attentive & polite, the food was excellent & very tasty. i would certainly recommend this hotel to others. if i return to dublin then i would consider staying at the ashling again.
Cons: The rooms were very hot at night even though the radiators were off. one night we slept with the curtains & windows open to let fresh air into the room.
