"2 nights at La Stampa in the heart of Dublin"
perfect location, I loved the decor. luxiourious/baroque with modern touches, very spacious and comfortable.fresh fruit and water on the table, beds were great, big comfortable, hairdryer, iron etc free wifi; everything you would need....... was there service was very good however a bit erratic our room wasnt cleaned and my mum´s was´. Our mum hated it I have to say as to reach our room there were many flights of stairs and much to her annoyance there was no walk-in shower. But we had a beautiful shower, not very practical but... and a lilac bathtub, just lovely. The staff were mostly non-nationals extremely proffesional and helpful. In the Dawson restuarant where we ate the second evening, the staff were Irish; one charming young gentleman and a young woman not so charming! she probably had a headache! The food was very good, So in general not for the over eighties but otherwise an excellent choice. Forgot to mention there was a exuberant and exotic choice of spas which I unfortunately could not afford, but would have loved to have tried one of those "ritual massages" some with four hands!

 "Great Location In Dublin"
Given that Dublin is an expensive city (in comparison to the UK) we thought a 4 star hotel in a great location was great value for under a £100. There are loads of pubs, restaurants and shops a short walk away. It is only a 10 min walk to Dublin Castle and a similar distance to Temple Bar and the River - which was exactly what we wanted for an overnight stay with a few hours of sightseeing the afternoon we arrived and the morning before we left. Tip if you have particular dining requirements book ahead as we found it very busy on a Thursday night with everywhere packed for dinner. The hotel is on a one way busy city centre road but our room was at the back of the hotel so very quiet. One oddity we had not encountered before was the lifts to the rooms are accessed via the bar so if you arrived at midnight on a Friday or Saturday night it might be a bit crowded! However there was excellent door staff on hand to help with bags when we arrived. The lifts require a room key to access so they are secure. If you have a car as we did there's no onsite parking and you have to park in an underground car park about a 3 minute walk away. IMPORTANT: Ensure that you get a room payment receipt from the hotel when you check out to take to the car park and then take your ticket and pay for your car park at the office NOT at the machines. With a room receipt it's 12 euros a night without one it's 35 euros!Overall a good place to stay and we'd definitely go back if visiting Dublin again.

Fabulous luxury hotel in the best part of town. The suite was excellent and the restaurant superb with lots of trendy bars to hand as well. I couldn't have asked for more and will definitely stay at La Stampa again!

 "La Stampa"
Great hotel, lovely reception from staff on check in, lovely room. The whole ambiance of the place is very special and wonderful decor. Great bar and super special price on cocktails. Breakfast was not great though, the full Irish left a lot to be desired, over cooked bacon and sausages were not nice, the fried eggs were well fried too, crisp more than fried, my eggs benadict was very nice though. The service was too slow, very friendly but lack of attention to the customers requirements, slow in bringing tea & coffee and topping up the tea & coffee, also only 1 slice of white and 1 slice of brown toast seems a little strange. But overall one of my favorite hotels, super location. We will be back!!
