Temple bar Dublin
Despite the name, Temple Bar is not merely a bar in Ireland. Indeed, it is quite an ancient district in the heart of Dublin, with the Liffey River as its northern border and Dame Street at its southern border. Historians are still unsure as to where the name “Temple Bar” originated, though many believe it derives from William Temple, the provost of Trinity College, who lived in the area in the 17th century.
