The National Museum of Ireland, located at Collin's Barracks in Dublin, is the nation's premier cultural institution. The Collins Barracks location of The National Museum of Ireland contains many state of the art exhibitions on costume and clothing, coins, and furniture. The museum has a changing programme of unique temporary exhibitions, lecture series, and an outdoor programme of summer events. The new Phase 2 exhibition galleries display the museum's ethnographical collection as well as geology and Irish history. It takes about a half a day to fully experience everything that the National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks has to offer. Once visitors have spent the morning enjoying all of the exhibits, they can take lunch in the museums café.
