Pros: Good location.
Cons: When you are staying in a room that costs in excess of euro 300 per night, excluding breakfast, you are expecting luxury. do not be fooled by the clarence hotel, which lives only off the name of bono, the owner. our room overlook the core of the building - a view of the storage water tanks, heating ventilation tubes etc. grey and miserable. we kept the curtains shut the whole time. my bedroom at home is more luxurious. the whole thing feels like a sham. the emporor who wore no clothes. i would most definitely not recommend this hotel, nor would i stay there again. btw... when we said we were not happy with the room, the receptionist said that he didn't allocate them and there wasn't anything he could do. the hotel was virtually empty, so the i think the policy should be to fill up the better rooms first, and leave those rooms with the awful view of the machinery until last. but, hey, what do i know? i'm not bono, and i'm just the idiot who paid 200 quid (at a discount rate) to stay there.

During your stay in Dublin, a visit to either Dublin Writers Museum or Natural History Museum is more than worth it.
