The College of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Queen Elizabeth near Dublin or more commonly Trinity College, Dublin was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I, and is the only constituent college of the University of Dublin, Ireland's oldest university. Located on College Green in Dublin, Trinity sits opposite the former Irish Houses of Parliament, which is now a branch of the Bank of Ireland. The campus occupies 47 acres of land with many archetecturally interesting and historic buildings such as the campanile, chapel, and dining hall. Internationally recognized for its excellence in higher education it plays host to many visitors each year. The campus attractions include the Oscar Wilde Centre, the Samuel Beckett Theartre, and the Douglas Hyde Gallary.

Also of note is the The Book of Kells, which is the centre piece of an exhibition that attracts over 500,000 visitors to Trinity College Dublin each year. Written around the year 800 AD, the Book of Kells contains a richly decorated copy of the four gospels in a Latin text based on the Vulgate edition. A visit to Trinity College would not be complete without one of its famed walking tours. Escorted by students, these walking tours around the College Campus will provide any visitor with a fascinating account of Trinity's past, a history of the Campus buildings, and interesting anecdotes about its most famous graduates.
