"Location was excellent - just off o'connell street"
Pros: Location was excellent - just off o'connell street.
Cons: I don't want to be negative because i had a nice enough experience with this hotel but was staying there because i was attending a concert at croke park and dublin was basically booked out!! whilst the hotel had an element of 'old-time charm' i would not book this hotel if i was staying for a leisurely weekend. please note the standard room booked was dark and tiny with a musty smell! i couldn't get the wardrobe door open wide enough to see the markings on the safe. okay the instructions for use were on the inside of the door so could read those, however, because i couldn't get the door open could barely read the actual numbers etc on the front of the safe to be able to use it properly. my bedroom had a jacuzzi bath with shower above the bath - fine, except the shower was basically a trickle of water. i did mention this to reception when i was checking out and they apologised and immediately rang someone and alerted them to this fact. don't mean to be negative but am just pointing out a few details.

"Central location was appreciated"
Pros: Central location was appreciated. the breakfast was excellent.
both staff at breakfast and in the bar were attentive.
Cons: We had indicated that we would like a quiet room. we were disappointed with the location of the room as it faced directly out onto lower abbey st over the luas tram stop. the traffic noise was very load and people continued to leave bars in the area until well in the morning. we did express our disappointment to the person at the departure desk but she was disinterested and tole us that we had to expect this because of the location of the hotel. clients should be warned before booking.

Wynns Hotel is the most centrally located hotel in Dublin and situated close to O'Connell Street and Henry Street.
Wynns Hotel Dublin is the most centrally located hotel in Dublin! Participate in Dublin’s shopper's paradise along neighbouring O'Connell Street or Henry Street, or cross over the historical Ha'Penny Bridge on the River Liffey to absorb the ambiance of the world renowned heritage precinct or Temple Bar. Nearby you can also stroll through the stylish Grafton Street. All of this is within a 5-minute walk of the hotel. Additionally, the hotel now has direct door to door access to the new O2 Concert Venue and the IFSC as the Luas line will take you there in just a few minutes.
Wynns Hotel Dublin has been in existence since 1845, in one form or another, and has witnessed many of the events that have formed the history of Dublin City. The hotel’s location and its high-quality facilities are similar to many of Dublin’s 4 and 5-star hotels which you can see in many guest reviews on several hotel review sites. The hotel’s extensive breakfast menu is not to be missed and therefore breakfast is included in all room rates unlike many other hotels. The hotel offers free Valet Parking to all hotel guests (subject to availability) as well as free Wi-Fi internet connection throughout the hotel. On top of that, all guests have complimentary access to the hotel’s new fully-equipped gym.
The Wynn's Hotel is ideally located in Dublin city centre and offers 65 guestrooms, comprising of Suites, Deluxe rooms and Standard rooms with Single, Double/Twin, and Triple occupancy. The hotel's lounge has been a favourite meeting point for a long time, with Dubliners and visitors alike. The elegant setting of the lounge, featuring a beautiful teak and mahogany bar, is popular with theatre and cinema goers, young couples, old friends meeting for a chat and many other people. Guests may choose from a large selection of quality drinks served by the welcoming professionally-trained bar staff.
The hotel is situated just off Dublin’s main O’Connell Street on Lower Abbey Street. This hotel is one of the best located Dublin City Centre Hotels, within walking distance of the Trinity College, GPO, Abbey Theatre, Gate Theatre and Dublin’s 2 main shopping districts - Grafton and Henry Street. The Luas line stops at the hotel’s main entrance and will take you directly to the new 02 Concert venue as well as Dublin's 2 main railway stations - Connolly and Heuston.
The hotel is approximately 10 km from Dublin Airport and 2 km from Dublin Port. The hotel has a door to door service to Connolly and Heuston railway stations, as well as to the central bus station through the new Luas line stop. If you are coming to Dublin for business or pleasure, you will find that the hotel’s location and public transport facilities make this hotel the best choice.
