Government buildings in Ireland are famous for housing some of the key offices for the Irish government, including the council chamber and the finance offices. The buildings are Edwardian and form part of a pretty quadrangle. Originally built as the Royal College of Science building, it was soon noticed and used for the first meeting of Parliament - and ever since then certain parts of the building have been used for parliament. In 1980 the whole building was taken over for this use. The building was designed by Aston Webb, who late redesigned the façade of Buckingham Palace, and it is really worth taking a look at.
