At trip to Ireland wouldn't be complete without a visit to the historical St. Patrick's Cathedral. Just outside the doors of St. Patrick's Cathedral is the well where St. Patrick himself baptized individuals on his way through Dublin. The original church was first built in 1191, although the current St. Patrick's Cathedral dates back to 1220. The amazing construction of the Cathedral, combined with the artwork and beautiful stained glass windows make this a must see attraction for the whole family.
An Anglican church, St. Patrick's Cathedral is the largest church in the country and is also the National Cathedral for the Church of Ireland. It is also home to one of the largest pipe organs, first built in 1695 and then most recently restored in 1963. In addition to the 4000 pipe organ, the Cathedral is also home to historic Celtic artwork, sculptures and medieval and Victorian architecture.
