Excellent hotel facilities, clean, beautiful surroundings, great food and good leisure facilities. I would highly recommend it to family and friend as a child friendly and welcoming family atmosphere. I hope to return soon.

The location and ground floor facilities of the hotel are excellent and to a very high standard however once you go to the upper floors this drastically changes!!!we were provided with rooms 215 & 217 - corridor on route to rooms was drab with wallpaper peeling off walls! 215 was very small and drab - only good thing was the view. 217 was slightly better as this was bigger - but over all very disappointed with the quality. we got rooms for a fanstasic price so im not sure if this was the reason we were put in such poor quality rooms so this is the reason why we did not complain - however if we had paid full price i would have definiately complained. we stayed at the grand to celebtate a 50th birthday and on recommendations from friends. i doubt i will ever be back to the hotel nor will i ever recommend it not if there is a chance that you would end up in rooms like that!!! very disapointed

booked the grand hotel in malahide on your site, got a good rate. when we arrived to check in, they could not find our booking under my name. after many attempts to failed attempts to find it, i was asked what rate i booked the room at and when i informed the receptionist of the rate , i was told in a condecending manner that there was no such rate available. on production of my reference and booking number, i wasinformed by the same person that this hotel did not use this site and that it must be bogus and was promptley dissmissed by her. needless to say i was perplexed by this, as i had used my credit card to book it. i did not however accept this as being the case without further efforts to resolve the problem. she then went to check emails , and surprise, ther was an email confirming my booking. all of this took almost an hour to resolve. she did apologise eventualy, and upgraded us. i do think you should look into this confussion arround use of your site.
