Castlegregory Hotels and Accommodation

Castlegregory, Ireland, is located in County Kerry on the Dingle Peninsula's northern side. This traditional village was named after the 16th century castle constructed by Gregory Hoare. At one point, the castle played host to the likes of Lord Grey and Sir Walter Raleigh. Gregory Hoare and his son, Hugh, both died on the threshold of the castle under unusual circumstances. Although the structure and the family that built it both fell into ruins, visitors to the village today can still see the "Gregory Arch", a doorway from the original building.
