The Ring of Beara is one of the landmarks in Castletownbere, Kenmare, that make the town to become one of the most visited places in Ireland. A bit is in Kerry and a bit is in Cork. It is arguably, the most spectacular site, even though it is a route that is far less popular than the Ring of Kerry, which makes it a must visit site when one is touring the beauties that Ireland has to offer.
The Ring of Beara goes through the town of Glengarrif that is in county Cork to Kenmare in county Kerry, unlike the Ring of Kerry, it is the long way round. Though long, it pays it off with a landscape that is beautiful, magical and full of rugged charms. The Ring of Beara would take a day’s driving through but it would be more preferential if the traveler takes time to sink all of the amazing sites at a time. Accommodation can be easily found, especially in Kerry.
