This accessible Tel Aviv municipal beach is totally free. The beach gives visitors an easy opportunity to swim in the warm, relaxing waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The beach is clean and has free showers. Nearby are restaurants (with food of all price ranges) and, luxury hotels. Plus, the beach affords a perfect opportunity for tourists in Israel to mingle with friendly locals. For, all kinds of people go to Gordon Beach to relax: Israeli youths, families of immigrants from Russia and other parts of Europe, wealthy patrons of the nearby hotels. It is a true “melting pot.” Watch out for paddleball players.

If you want to swim, visiting the beach in the summer, late spring, or early autumn is best. Winter can be sort of cold in Tel Aviv. Not too cold, but nonetheless surprisingly so given Israel's reputation as a warm, dry desert land. Gordon Beach can easily be reached by public transport.
