This is the same house in which the first Prime Minister of Israel, David Ben-Gurion, used to live with his wife. The house is meticulously preserved, looking much the same as when the visionary politician had actually lived there. A museum is next door. It is dedicated to David Ben-Gurion's life, works, and lasting influence upon the state Israel. Tourists looking for things to do in Israel can walk through the house, and then visit to the adjacent museum to interpret what they have seen.
One major attraction to be found in the house is David Ben-Gurion's private library. The man was quite a scholar, a major Zionist thinker as well as a politician. He owned more than 20,000 books about diverse subjects, proving that a politician can be an intellectual too, at least in the early stages of a state's history. Additionally, the house is yet another instance of the stunning Bauhaus architecture that Tel Aviv is known for.
