Aosta Hotels and Accommodation

Aosta is the only capital of an Italian region that is not also the capital of a province; indeed, it is the capital of the Valle d’Aosta (Valley of Aosta) region. When visiting this valley, you should definitely check out the numerous castles that dot the entire area. The most famous and picturesque one is the Fénis Castle, found on the outskirts of the small town of Fénis and built in the 13th century. There is also the Issogne Castle, built in the 11th century over a Roman villa, which is found in the town of Issogne, as well as the Savoia Castle, a luxurious villa from the 1800s located in Gressoney-Saint-Jean.
A trip to Saint-Vincent is also a good idea, to check out Roman archeological ruins, a Romanesque church dating to the 12th century, and especially for the thermal baths.
