Aosta tourism is obviously dependent on tourists reaching the city without a great deal of difficulty. This is made possible by the modern airport “Corrado Gex”, located in the center of the Aosta Valley, which is the home of the “4000 d’Europa” (4000-meter high peaks): Monte Rosa, Monte Bianco, Cervino and Gran Paradiso. With respect to the city of Aosta itself, the airport is located roughly 2 km east of the center of the city. It is mainly a national airport, with some commercial international flights flying into and out of it.

Corrado Gex airport is not only convenient for those tourists wishing to visit the city of Aosta, but also those wishing to take a trip to surrounding areas, such as the various mountain peaks that offer both winter and summer sports and the various historical villages that house the remains of imposing medieval fortresses.
