Aigle Courmayeur  

Look out of the windows of Hotel Aigle and admire a view that goes from the top of the Monte Bianco to the peaks of the Dente del Gigante and to the Grandes Jorasses.Our hotel lies in Entreves (1300 m asl), a characteristic area of Courmayeur at the foot of the great mountain. The village is still an authentic mountain place, with its old houses made of stone and wood, and fit in a natural ambient full of meadow, woods, the river…Five minutes far you can get by car to Val Veny or Val Ferret that are a paradise for skiers, in winter. The cableway to Punta Helbronner lets you reach Chamonix ( the section of the Aguille du Midi, 3800 m., the “funivia dei ghiacciai”, is very famous) guides to the popular route off the track of Vallée Blanche, and to great itineraries of sky-touring.In summer, you can have excursions and walks for all ages to discover the numerous alpine lakes (a well-known one is the Miage lake, where little icebergs coming from the glacier float) and pastures, a sea of blueberries and raspberries, chalets and mountain-huts where you can find comfort and refreshment. Hotel Aigle is a comfortable “base” for all those who look forward to reaching the top of the “Europe roof”.Together with alpinism there are lots of exciting sports you can practice: mountain-biking, rafting, sleddog, paragliding, golf, ..Hotel Aigle has 12 rooms, a warmy restaurant, homely parlour with bar, garden-solarium, private parking. The hotel is run on a half board basis: breakfast self service and dinner served with a delicious menù of entirely home made Italian dishes (vegetarian and gluten-free menù are cooked on demand). Full board is also available, with packed lunch (sandwiches, fruit, soft drinks).
