The influence of the Etruscans is felt throughout Tuscany. You can see it in the architecture and ruins of ancient cities. The Civitella in Val di Chiana is one who hails back to the ancient Etruscans. It sits high on a rocky outcrop topped by the ruins of an ancient castle, bombed out of existence in WWII.
