    The province of Brindisi is in the southern Italian region of Apulia, or Puglia in Italian, bathed in the northeast by the Adriatic Sea. It has about 80,000 kilometers of coastline, which contains numerous bays and beaches that attract thousands of tourists each year. To round off the multi-faceted nature of the province, there are the many castles and towers, archeological remains, including thermal baths, city walls and streets, and Baroque-style buildings, attesting to its rich history. Visit the town of Carovigno, for example, to taste its world famous extra virgin olive oil.
