Pros: The variety of food at breakfast was decent, there was a balcony, the hotel was located very close to the train station, the female hotel owner was friendly.
Cons: The balcony in the room was shared with two other rooms, so if you are not a smoker and they are smokers - having the balcony door open is not an option. the key that was supposed to only open our "private" bathroom door also opened our room door and the door of another room, so the safety of your things is questionable (although nothing was stolen from us). the floor in the room was filthy - walking barefoot for one minute caused the soles of my feed to turn almost black. the bathroom was (for lack of a better word) ancient.

Cons: The location is not really closed to train station as it should be, especially in case that you have luggage with you. breakfast here is not like a breakfast. it's just appetizer :)

Pros: This is a bed and breakfast in a large apartment close to the central rail station (7 minutes brisk walk, 10 to 15 minutes when rolling suitcases). almost all rooms have private bathrooms. do not expect the amenities of a large hotel, but this is a relaxed and very low cost accommodation for florence. staff is very helpful and nice. if a bed and breakfast is what you want this is very convenient. air conditioning is a must in the summer. you can find somewhat cheaper accommodation without a/c but between june and september it might be unbearable. so, this place was a nice discovery on easy to book, wish i had known this before.
