Pros: The location was excellent, set between the duomo and main train station. our room had a striking view directly down the via de cerretani to the cupola (but we no doubt were lucky enough to be put in the best room!). the room was spacious, clean and the bed comfortable. we had our own private bathroom. in the evenings we would recommend goin up to the roof balcony, which had chairs and tables, to take in the view of the duomo and streets below - stunning. for the money i doubt very much that you could get a better room in a better location, with the same view.
Cons: The soggiorno la cupola is on the second floor, which equates to about 4 flights of stairs, so if you are coming with a lot of luggage, just beware that there is no lift.

Pros: The room ws surprisingly large and comfortable - one of the nicest and warmest rooms we stayed in throughout italy.it is on a busy road but the noise is blocked ut by the double windows.
Cons: The two floor dragging of suitacases up the stairs, the miniscule shower and the staff not speaking english are not the most fabulous of attributes.
