Stadio Artemio Franchi is a football stadium in Florence, Italy. It is currently the home of ACF Fiorentina. The stadium was built in 1930 and has a capacity of 47,300. The stadium was constructed entirely of reinforced concrete. The tower which is called the ‘Tower of Marathon’ is 70 meter/233 ft high and bears the stadium's flagstaff. Spiral ramps lead from the base of the tower to the upper edge of the grandstand. When the stadium underwent renovations before the 1990 FIFA World Cup, the running track was removed which increased the seating capacity.
