The province of Genoa is located in the northern Italian region of Liguria. The province contains mountains, hills and access to the sea; there are four natural parks and a marine reserve. The areas of Golfo Paradiso and Tigullio, another gulf, are big tourist attractions, though visitors from all over the world are becoming more and more interested in the small hilltop towns of the province. The province is rich in culture, art and history; there are numerous museums, castles and local feasts to enjoy. The capital city, Genoa, offers many sights to entertain tourists, such as the Parco Naturale Regionale del Beigua, a natural park just outside the city limits, and the Aquarium, located in the area of the historical port; this is actually the largest aquarium in all of Italy. Genoa is also full of historical monuments, such as the ancient lighthouse, a symbol of the city.
