Grosseto Hotels and Accommodation
Grosseto is a province in the northern Italian region of Tuscany; actually, it occupies the most southern area of Tuscany and is its largest province, in terms of extension. In the west, the province is bathed by the Tyrrhenian Sea and includes the southern islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, Giglio Island and Giannutri Island, as well as numerous other, smaller islands and rock formations. These islands are a favorite spot for divers. The entire province has been inhabited since the Bronze Age and so boasts an enormously rich cultural and historical heritage; there are numerous archeological parks and the historical centers of the towns and cities that make up the province attract thousands of tourists each year.
The capital city of the province, also called Grosseto, for example, contains a historical center completely enclosed within defensive walls, originally built in the 12th century but fortified in the 16th century by the Medici family. You should also check out the town of Massa Marittima, with a historical center composed almost entirely of medieval buildings and churches. If your travels happen to land you in Tuscany for a weekend, Grosseto should be checked out. Before heading into the province, be sure to look online for hotels in Grosseto, or even for the discount hotels Grosseto offers. EasyToBook.com is a great place to start your search for Grosseto hotels; if you need to save money while visiting the province of Grosseto, cheap hotels are easy to find here.
