The small municipality of Montelupone, with just three thousand or so inhabitants, houses a number quaint little hamlets, villages and subdivisions, known in Italy as The Frazioni of Montelupone. Seasoned travellers will tell you that such opportunities are where you will see the real heart of a country. It is not in the country’s shopping malls and tourist traps, but in the countryside, the small towns and the locals.
