Sarnano is a spa town in the hills of the Marches with slightly more than 3,000 residents and plenty of visitors who come her to “take the cure” with the heated spring of mineral rich water that bubbles up nearby. Several Sarnano hotels feature spa facilities, though few such establishments could reasonably be called discount hotels. Sarnano is, however, a wonderful place to spend a long holiday and rent transportation to visit the surrounding areas, or simply immerse oneself in the history of the area. Surrounding the town are the Sibillini Mountains that offer plenty of sporting activities, including skiing at the nearby Sasso Tetto Ski Resort.
