Like Neive and Negrar, Nerviano is one of those Italian municipalities most well known for its frazioni, or small hamlets and villages which comprise the 17,500 inhabitant population of the humble municipality. By travelling through the area on mule or horseback and talking with the locals, you can get a much more authentic experience with the Italian culture and people than you can at any tourist trap or beach resort.

It should be noted that you may want to reserve some cheap hotels well in advance through a website like EasyToBook.com. There are plenty of discount hotels in the area, but between Italian Americans visiting their Italian Italian families and general purpose tourists, the area can get pretty packed in the winter and summer months, and you don’t want to get stuck with nowhere to sleep.
