Ovo Castle Naples

There is a small island in the Bay of Naples that juts out from the mainland in front of the Borgo Marinaro. The Castel Dell’Ovo dominates the island, called Megaride. The castle complex is quite large, so be sure to set aside several hours for the visit. Legend says that this is the spot where the Mermaid Partenope was entangled, and you might hear the full story from your hotel manager if you pick a budget hotel near the Ovo Castel in Naples. If you do want to stay in a hotel close to the Ovo Castel, it will probably be back on the mainland. But you can get to the island easily.
