Virgil's Tomb Naples

One of the most exciting aspects of visiting a very old city, such as Naples in Italy, is the ancient relics available for one to explore. One such relic from ancient Naples is Virgil’s Tomb, which is a Roman style burial vault. Located at the southern end of the city is a Roman tunnel called Grotta Vecchia, which was constructed during the Augustus reign. The tunnel was intended to connect Ancient Naples to other cities, including Baiae and Pozzuoli, and located at the entrance to this tunnel is where the tomb is reported to be located, lying beneath a dome of rocks.
