The view from the hotel is spectacular, the pool is large / clean and the gardens, beach and wellness spa are great. however, all of these facilities come at the detriment to the quality of room and push the hotel into a star rating that it does not deserve. 
The rooms of the hotel are definitely not 5*. the dressing table and "lounge area" looked like they had been taken out of a 1960's classroom. the room was basic and furniture shoddy - not what you would expect from a 5*. the balcony with garden view overlooked the car-park and reception area - no privacy day or night. corridors in need of repair - plaster damaged / paint peeling off. based on the sub-standard rooms / corridors, the 5* rating is definitely misleading.
