Bagheria is a town of 53, 381 inhabitants situated on the Italian island of Sicily. The town really only came into its own in 1658, when a Prince of Butera named Giuseppe Branciforte erected a villa here, to live out his final days. During the 18th century, a distant heir of the original Prince restructured the village around the estate. It turned into a vacation spot for the wealthy elites, and to this day the Sicilian town boasts many imposing of the Baroque villas and estates constructed during that era.
