What you need to know before traveling to Pesaro e Urbino

The province of Pesaro e Urbino is located in the central Italian region of Le Marche; it has two capital cities, Pesaro and Urbino. The province is bathed on the east by the Adriatic Sea. The historical center of the city of Urbino has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check out Palazzo Ducale, built in the 15th century, which today houses an important regional art gallery; you can also visit the house of the great artist Raphael and admire one of the frescoes he completed as a young boy. Head to the other capital city, Pesaro, to visit the impressive Cathedral, originally built in Romanesque style and recently restructured. You should also stop by the coastal town of Gabicce Mare, the northernmost coastal town of the region of Le Marche. Gabicce Mare attractions essentially include the beach on the Adriatic Riviera. If your travels take you into Le Marche for a weekend, Pesaro e Urbino could be a great place to check out.
