In the Italian province of Ravenna lies a town known as Faenza. This town is probably best known for the glazed, earthenware pottery that is made here. It goes by the name of Majolica, and many tourists travel here just to be able to purchase some of the most coveted pieces. Faenza is nestled at the bottom of the Subapennine Hills. The view from atop these hills is beautiful, as you’ll see vineyards at eye level, and lush green vegetable gardens in the flatter portions. There are several different attractions in Faenza, many of them architectural. You’ll want to see the Clock Tower, the Palazzo del Podesta, the huge Cathedral, the Goldsmith’s Portico, and the Palazzo Milzetti. The International Museum of Ceramics has wonderful works of art from around the world displayed.
Restaurants in Faenza serve delightful cuisine, some local Italian food, and some from other areas of Italy and the world. Budget Faenza hotels do exist, although when some people began their search for a lower-priced Faenza hotel, they are unsure where to start looking. Hotels in Faenza are listed at EasyToBook.com, the best website available for finding that perfect hotel.
