How to reach the A La Roma dei Papi Hotel de Charme?From the "Leonardo da Vinci" Fiumicino Airport: The Rome Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci airport is connected to the city by a local train service, called Leonardo Express, leaving every 30 minutes for Termini Railway Station.
From the "Ciampino" Airport: The Rome Ciampino airport is just a few bus stops from underground line A terminus Anagnina. The go to Termini Railway Station it takes about 20 minutes. From the airport take the Cotral/Schiaffini bus to Anagnina. In Anagnina take metro line “A” to Termini Railway Station.
From the "Termini" railway Station: You can take bus N° 70 to Clodio, get off at 'Piazza Cavour' and walk for 40 meters to reach the hotel at Piazza Adriana n°5.
You can also take bus N° 40 to Saint Angel Castle, get off at 'Saint Angel Castle' and walk through the Saint Angel gardens to reach Piazza Adriana n°5 where the hotel is located.
Furthermore, you can take bus N° 492 with direction Cipro, get off at 'Piazza Cavour' and walk for 40 meters to reach Piazza Adriana n°5 where the hotel is located.

24 hour staff available who were very friendly and gave good advice to us as first time travellers to rome.Soundproofing was poor so light sleepers may have problems. no view from our window.Anonymous

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was excellent for all the sights. the hotel was small but very adequate and very clean and breakfast was nice. i would recommend it to anyone. The only problem was that we didn't have water for 24 hours, however we were able to shower st another hotel. it didn't disrupt our trip to much but we did have to keep asking when it was coming back on. Very near to all attractions- staff very helpful and informative- rooms clean and attractive- we visited all tourist sites walking from hotel and found map provided easy to use- staff recommended which buses to use and also guided us to wonderful restaurants at reasonable prices. small friendly family hotel with 7 rooms and 24 hour reception.Nobarry beeten

We were in rome to celebrate our 5th anniversary and wanted somewhere to base a couple of days sightseeing from. very happy with hotel and location. quiet, with very nice, helpful staff. only a few rooms, and it was a little tricky to find as there is no sign outside.
the hotel is particularly well situated for walks along the river and visits to the vatican. it is a bit of a walk to the older parts of town, but we never felt the need for taxis or buses.
my final comment would be, the hotel is a good location for a base in rome, but i would question the "hotel de charme" statement, it's more practical than charming.Lynne Auty

Great location hotel was just ground floor of a residential building. it was charming and the staff were very pleasant and helpful, giving us tips on best times to visit attractions and local transport. ideal for a city trip where you are out all day and just want a modern, clean, warm airconditioned room to stay. the fact it was just behind the castle st angelo meant it was easy to find initally and when returning from a day sightseeing. Stephan and his wife treat you like family. the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly and everyone we dealt with was wonderfulNothing regarding the hotel. the shuttle service they used, however, took us to the wrong airport on our return home and it created quite a bit of stress given we only had 1/2 hour to get to the right hotel. the driver did not verify which airport and he was told by the hotel where we were going.Anonymous

We had a fabulous few days in rome and the hotel was in a perfect location just outside the centre of the city which made everything walkable and only 10mins walk from the vatican. the hotel staff were lovely - extremely helpful and polite and all spoke excellent english which was great because we didn't speak any italian! for our first time in rome and speaking no italian, we were very glad we accepted the offer of a car to pick us up from the airport otherwise we would never found the hotel in the dark. although a taxi would probably have been cheaper.Anonymous
