Aenea Superior Inn Rome LocationAenea Superior Inn Rome Location (Map)

The location of Aenea Superior Inn Rome is exceptional as you are actually close to all the classic sights of Rome. The Colosseum and Fori Imperiali are no more than an easy five minute walk. Moreover the “Cavour” metro station is approximately 200 meters far.

In the immediate vicinity of Aenea Superior Inn, it’s worth a moment to linger along the narrow lanes of the Suburra, the church of Santa Pudenziana and its Byzantine mosaic (this is the oldest church in Rome, it dates back to the third century A.D.; the tradition says that Saint Peter might have found shelter there during the Christian persecution), the church of Santa Prassede and obviously the magnificent and imposing Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.

The “Suburra” – the previous name of this district located on the sloped of the Quirinale and Viminale hills spreading as far as Esquilino hill – was a suburban neighbourhood of ill-fame. Today the district of Suburra is called “Rione Monti”, the first neighbourhood of the city, one of the few places where you can have a real, genuine breathing area.

Aenea Superior Inn, the perfect starting point to enjoy the best of the eternal city!

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. the breakfast delivery hung on your bedroom door was a unique experience but delightful.
The hotel was quite hard to find initially, even for the taxi driver as it is part of a condominium

Staff are really friendly and helpful. kettle in room is a big plus, also fridge. basket of fresh breakfast pastries is put outside room each morning. decor is nice, bed comfortable.
As with many hotels in rome, be prepared for a big black door and an intercom as your first impression! you don't have to use the scary-looking lift, there's a short flight of stairs instead. we would say the colosseum is a 10-15min walk away rather than 5mins. but really, no complaints!

Knowledgeable and helpful staff. comfortable and well appointed room.
No night person at front desk. awful (scary) building front door - building is shared with other tenants, though.

Manager was very helpful.
Had to ask for the towels to be changed, which were of very poor quality anyway. difficult access, tiny lift, three doors to get through to hotel room.

Stayed at the aenea for 1 night in march - my parents stopped here for 4 nights for my dad's 60th and we flew out to surprise them. allesandro (manager) was amazing. he helped us keep the surprise, agreed to open up early so we could catch them unawares and smuggled us in undetected. lovely, helpful man and a beautiful hotel.
This isn't a negative so much as a note for new travellers - mnake sure you take the property number of the hotel as we found it difficult to find as first - its not a "traditional" hotel with an open reception area but a condominium in a tall story building - you have to press the buzzer putside for reception.

Overall, i was very happy with aenea. the inn was centrally located and was in walking distance to all the major attractions. the inn was clean, quiet and comfortable. for the price, i was very happy with my stay.
There was only two things i had a concern with. there were construction workers outside that was noisy, but to be fair, it was from 9 to 5, so not interfering with sleeping hours. the other thing was there really was no staff presense there. it would have been nice if we could have asked for advise about tips for touring the city. but once again, only very minor things and overall really enjoyed the stay.

The hotel was centrally located and very clean. the bathroom was nice. it was very quiet. the owner was very nice. this is less like a hotel and more like an apt. it in a building with other condo's and was not fully staffed at all times. thank god for the free wireless internet! saved our trip since the t.v. only had one english speaking channel.
Only the owner spoke english so the maids could not talk to you. the beds were very hard. our room had a window but was only open to another building so it was very dark which was good for naps but bad for waking up in the morning. there were only people around when the rooms were being cleaned and ours wasn't cleaned unless we put the card on the door when we left for the day. the restaurant the owner recommended was horrible!!

The gentleman that met us on the night we arrived was extremely helpful - talked with us for half an hour when we arrived about all the sights we should see in rome in the time that we had. he was very helpful right throughout our stay. very well furnished hotel. large room that was perfectly clean every day, with lovely en-suite bathroom. sweets on the pillow provided on arrival.
The breakfast was not great, with only a few snacks in a basket provided, but i think this is the way with most italian hotels. no iron - always handy to have in hotel room!

Walking distance from termini station and most major sites. decent sized room, very good standard of decoration. very quiet.
Met by helpful hotel manager on arrival but not seen again, though guess would have been available if needed. breakfast left in a basket in bedroom a bit heavy on sweet things.

Extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful! great central location. hotel and rooms were very charming and clean! the european breakfast (basket of treats: croissants, toast, cookies, jam, juices, coffee and occasional fruit at the front desk) was full of variety and provided snacks for us through out the day. we loved our stay, it was like renting a flat for our honeymoon. :d
Nothing negative.

Well positioned for visiting main sites. the staff are very friendly and were keen to ensure that our time in rome was well spent and organised. tea/coffee facilities, snacks and fridge were excellent and varied.
Diffricult to find - in a residential building but the owner takes your mobile number and is great at directing you!

The hotel was very central and a member of staff was there to greet us on arrival even though it was late in the evening. the rooms are basic but very clean and its nice to get your own keys to the building as well as your appartment, so you can come and go as you please.
Breakfast was included in the price but it was not worth it, it tasted horrible like vacumed packed processed junk. we brought fresh pastries and coissants from the local bakery and took them back to the room with us, much nicer fresh!
