Central location and friendly service from the gentleman that checked us in after midnight.
Walls were severely marked and due to renovations the windows ot secure and the airconditioner did not function properly (remote?) and was dripping into a drik bottle instead of a tube to the outside. no lift and a maze of several turns and dorways to get to the fourth floor. they are trying hard but definately not quite there.

It's not too expensive & fairly close to sights of interest.
There's no elevator & we stayed on the 4th floor - it's ok to go yourself, but carrying luggage up or down is horrible. it's located in a sketchy area of the city, don't recommend to walk alone at night. breakfast is from 7 to 10, but when you go there at 9 - there's almost nothing left. it says there's internet - but it's only 1 computer, that's always occupied, in the lobby with internet connection (but better than nothing).

The hotel location is excelent to visit rome. it's a walking distance from the most interesting places, from the metro as buses. nearby a good supermarket, lots of restaurants, the railwaystation and santa maria maggiore. the staff is very helpfull, friendly and very attentious about the requests i ask for when booked the hotel - a quiet room with balcony. buffet breakfast is very good served and a good day start.
Nothing really negative, but to be on the 4th floor without lift was a bit tiring when you stay for 6 days/5 nights. as an improvement suggestion i would say that the deadline to use internet - 9pm -, is too soon in summertime when days are longer and people come back to the hotel later on; this is even more important when there's no wireless in the rooms and all the people wants to acess internet after dinner....

Very central location ... 5 minutes walk from train station and metro
Our last morning before check-out. breakfast time is 7am to 10am. arrived at 7am to get a quick coffee and roll, only to find coffee not ready nor rolls put out. we had to catch a bus at 7.25am at station, and as a result had no breakfast before we left for our journey home.

Friendly and helpful reception staff, very clean spacious rooms. excellent location for sight-seeing.
Breakfast choices limited and a smile wouldn't hurt from the waitress, not much hot water available at peak times i.e. after breakfast. killer penultimate step onto second floor!

We loved your hotel, and found it to be quite charming and the staff friendly and helpful. the breakfast was excellent, as was the dining the area. i could not be happier about choosing the albatross. we would definitley stay here again.
It did take a long time for the warm water to make it to our room.

Central location, good service, clean and quite en-suite room. fine continental breakfast.
Strangely, the name "albatros b&b" was not displayed anywhere at the address indicated, which turned out to be that of the giubileo hotel. our room was accessed via a door next to the main entrance of the giubileo, which the receptionist unlocked remotely from the giubileo reception where we got our keys. this should be made clear on the booking website as this is confusing at first. the room itself whilst clean and quite had bare minimum decoration. it would be good to have photo of actual room we book on the booking website (rather than a few arbitrary sample photos) and know whether room is on street side or backyard/garden (quiter) side. there was also no clarity on the website whether the room had a double bed or two separate beds. i e-mailed to get clarification before the trip but never got an answer. this say, these are minor points and we enjoyed our stay at the b&b.

The first night we had a room at the front of the hotel, when we asked for a quieter room this was arranged in minutes. the staff was helpfull, rooms value for money and the breakfast was fine. we're from a city and therefor used to city life but the neighbourhood is really not dodgy at all,i dont understand comments from previous guests.
The albatros is really just a part of the guibileo hotel but in the next door appartmentbuildings. this might be confusing for some (it was no problem for us)
