Reviews on Best Western Ambra Palace Hotel Rome
In partnership with
Cons: Very little choice of good restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: I did a lot of research on our trip and on the internet said that it was located "right around the corner" from the train station. that is not a true statement at all. my husband and i walked for over an hour, with our 5 pieces of luggage because other hotels said it was on the next block.
Cons: Having to wait at the bar until seats were free for breakfast.
staff not seeming happy
hard bed
the location was excellent
Cons: The room was cold. the hotel did not activate the heating and the nights were cold.
access to wifi was free as advertised but not readily available in the rooms.
Cons: Jacussi bath did not work - location was ok near to tube and buses but the street was a bit run down at the end where the hotel was.
Cons: The front of desk male staff were quite abrupt when questions were asked as if it was too much trouble to answer your questions. however the young lady was very helpful and could not do enough to help us.
Cons: Not really except the area where thw hotel is located which seems to be rough although safe to walk about. the room especiaaly the bathroom is very small. one should go for the superior room when booking the hotel. lack of entertainment programs.
Cons: Centgral heating difficult to turn down! bar fairly pricey, but welcome drink at half price welcome!
Cons: Some noise could be heard from food market across the road in the fairly early hours but would not stop me returning.
Cons: The hotel was some distance(about 25-30 minute walk) from the main attractions such as piazza's navone, fioria, trevi fountain, colosseum and spanish steps. a compensation is that there is a metro station about 5-10 minutes walk away, although the walk takes you through a fairly unattractive part of rome.
