Angel Hotel is a very central hotel located between the Spanish Steps and the Vatican City; 5 minutes away from the Ara Pacis monument and the Castel Sant'Angelo.The hotel is located in the historical, artistic and economical centre of the city only a few minutes away from the major cultural places such as the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel, Piazza Navona, Via del Corso, the Pantheon and Via Cola di Rienzo. Furthermore, in order to discover new perspectives of the city you may enjoy the mini cruise on the river only 10 minutes away from the hotel.
The Closest metro stops from the hotel are 'Piazza di Spagna' and 'Lepanto' (10 minutes walking distance). A few minutes away from the hotel you can find Piazza Cavour, where there are many buses to go to the most important places in Rome:

- Tiburtina Station with bus line 492;

How to reach the Angel Hotel?By train: From Termini train station, take bus 492 (from Via Volturno in front of the station) or number 70 (from Piazza dei Cinquecento, to the left when exiting the station) and get off at Piazza Cavour. Next to the large Waldesian church is Via Marianna Dionigi where the Hotel Angel is located at 45.
By plane from Fiumicino airport: Take the Leonardo Express train or Terravision shuttle to the Rome Termini train station and continue as described below in by train.
By plane from Ciampino airport: Take a Terravision shuttle for the Rome Termini train station or take the Schiffini shuttle for the Ciampino train station where the FM4 or FM6 train departs for the Rome Termini station every 10 minutes. From the Rome Termini train station, continue as described below in by train.
By car: From all directions, take the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA) and get off at exit # 1 Via Aurelia. Follow directions for Roma Centro/Città del Vaticano. Take Viale delle Mura Vaticane and follow the Vatican walls to Piazza Risorgimento. Cross the square and continue on via Crescenzio. The people at reception was very friendly and helpful. give us directions on bus services and restaurant information etc.
the room was comfortable and nicely furnished. however, it is disappointing that there were no english channels on tv.The shower door was not secured and we had to ask for it to be repaired, which the serviceman came at 8:30pm to do so. this was slightly inconvenient but not end of the world.07 Sep 09

The hotel is very well positioned, within easy walking distance of the main rome sights - including spanish steps, trevi fountain, navona square, vatican. you do not need to use public transport once you arrive and there are excellent food outlets within 2-3 minutes of the hotel entrance.The lift is somewhat antiquated and the lack of ability to have breakfast in the hotel could be a negative for many people. we found a cafe within a few minutes walk. it is associated with the st angelo hotel which is located within 50-80 metres of the angel and here you had breakfast available - but we were never informed whether or not we could purchase this facility.29 May 09

Easy to find, excellent and polite staff. good position in rome nr river and vatican. would reccommend. The double bed was two singles pushed together, but still quite comfortable. and there was no bath only a shower, the missus missed the bath!05 Nov 08

The hotel was in walking distance of the vatican and about 10 minutes walk to just about anything else you want to see. there was a bus stop very close by and for 1 euro you could hop over to line 87 which takes you right to the colesseum. the rooms were fair sized, with the basics, and the staff was very friendly. The air conditioning was dicey, so if you like it cold you are better off going in the winter when you can open a window. 01 Oct 08

The location was fantastic. The shower leaked onto the floor, but it was cleaned up by staff each day...still a bit anoying though
