How to reach the Ara Pacis Hotel?By car, from Fiumicino Airport: Take the Roma Fiumicino and exit on Via Aurelia (Vaticano). Drive all the way through Via Aurelia towards the Vatican City. Drive towards Lungo Tevere, cross the bridge and turn left and drive until Ponte Cavour, turn left and you’ll arrive on Via Vittoria Colonna, you’ll see the Hotel Ara Pacis on your right hand side.
By car, from A1 Highway North: Exit Settebagni and proceed on Via Salaria for about 10 km, until Piazza del Popolo.The hotel is located 500 metres from the Basilica of St. Peter's Square and the Vatican.
By public transport, from Ciampino or Fiumicino airport: Take the train to 'Stazione Termini'. From there, take bus nr 70 to reach the hotel. You can also take a taxi from the airport or the station in order to reach the hotel.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, the staff were helpful and we arranged a private transfer to the airport from the hotel which was well worth the money - very professional.The hotel is situated on the 3rd floor - this was not stated anywhere. it is 106 steps up to the hotel lobby if you do not take the lift.
the rooms were very basic and in need of a some tender loving care. our air conditioning unit made a lot of noise but not as much noise as the main road outside - make sure you ask for a room facing inwards. we never found the terrace and breakfast was very very basic! the bed wasn't luxurious and we had no bath only a shower!Delfino
