Via Veneto, the vibrant heart of the Dolce Vita in the sixties, and still famous today for the historic cafés and luxury boutiques, is within walking distance. Just a little way off, instead, you can admire the splendid Villa Borghese, hosting one of the largest art collections in the world.

By train:
Arriving at the Termini Station, you can get to the Augustus Hotel by taxi (3 minutes), on foot (15 minutes) or by n° 36 or 90 bus getting off at the Porta Pia stop, where just a few meters away you will see the hotel.
By plane:
Rome has two international airports, both with excellent links to the center.
From the Rome "Leonardo da Vinci" airport, you have several options for reaching the Augustus Hotel:
- the Terravision Shuttle will take you to the Rome Termini Station. From here, take n°36 or 90 bus and get off at the Porta Pia stop, where you will see the Augustus Hotel just a few yards away;
- the direct "Leonardo Express" train will bring you to the Termini Station in 20 minutes. From here, take n° 36 or 90 bus and get off at the Porta Pia stop;
- by hired car, follow "Cristoforo Colombo" to the end, then go in the direction of the Coliseum, continuing beyond it. Turn left and then right, as far as Via Cavour. Continue towards the Termini Station, and finally towards via Piave;
- by private taxi.
From the Rome "Ciampino" airport, you have several options for reaching the Augustus Hotel:
- by the Shuttle bus, you will arrive in Via Marsala, near the Termini Station. From here you can take a taxi (3 minutes), come on foot (15 minutes) or take a n° 36 or 90 bus getting off at the Porta Pia stop;
- by hired car: take the direction of "Roma Appia Nuova" and after about 12 Km you will reach Piazza S. Giovanni in Laterano. Here, take Via Merulana towards Santa Maria Maggiore, then follow the road signs for the Termini Station, continuing then along Via Piave;
- by private taxi.
It is in a fairly central location and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are a little small and it is 4-5 blocks to the nearest bus/metro.
