Cons: I, mr. gauci almost had to cancell this holiday through high blood presure and dizziness ten days before the holiday. i was given the go ahead by my doctor just three days before to fly and to take it easy. on arrival the room was right and clean but there was no stopper on the b.d. this my wife and i wanted to use. for me to sit and wash because i could have maybe got a dizzy spell in the shower and my wife for her personal needs. when we asked cory the receptionist that same arrival afternoon he tried to find one in some other rooms but he didn't. he said he will look into it and get us one. it never came. [2] on your web site it does say and show a pool table for free use at the hotel. we love playing pool and because i can't go to the gym in my condition this was going to be our pass time together. when we asked cory to prepare it for us we were totally surprised to see that all four sticks had no rubber tips. it was just the plast on three and one was even cut to the wood. i asked cory why and how can we play with such sticks? he said these have been on order. we have to do with what there was. after one game we gave up and stopped. {3} our door, the front door didn't lock good unless you really pull it closed, we could hear a click but it wasn't closing properly. we only found this when we arrived after breakfast on the third day. after going out we returned to find that our door was not locked. we just pushed the door and it opened.the maids had cleaned the room and they never closed it right. i went downstairs and i directly spoke to one of the owners. he said was anything stolen? i said no. he said that he will make sure that the maids will lock the door properly. i bought up the subject of the pool table sticks, he said that these are on order. to be honest i don't believe him for a second. he asked me what he can do for me for this inconvinience. i said i want the b.d.stopper the sticks and the door fixed and looked at while i was there. nothing ever happened. on the last morning when i went down for breakfast the breakfast room was freezing. this had happened on another morning when all the guests were complainig. the music during breakfast time was always frenc, i asked for something in italian after all we were in italy. the owner the same one i had spoken too bafor about my complaints was informed. he came down to my table. "i'm sorry but we do not have an italian c.d." here he adjusted the heaters and he told me that in time the room will get warmer. they sure have problems with maintanance in this hotel and comuniation. such a shame as i would have liked to return here but no way. i wouldn't. my wife and i feel that we have missed on things promised in your web site. the b.d. the pool table and the friendliness from the owner who realy don't know how to deal with people. i have been a holiday representative on my island for over 21 years and i put things right in twenty four hours or someone would be in trouble. we feel that we should get at least 25 per cent of the whole stay for the upsets we faced especially as i had just came out of the hospital and needed just rest. like i said the owner did say what compensation i wanted. we wait to hear from you . many thanks george gauci.
Cons: First they tried to put us in the room next to the breakfast room in the basement (below ground). why start with that room when we were checking in early? to see if we'd complain and then they'd be rid of the crummy room? moved us to the top floor. very poor tv (900 channels, but all in italian), empty mini-bar, breakfast was a complete disaster and not worth getting up for. staff was pleasant enough, but we would not stay here again. it all feels very random and thrown together.
Cons: The drain in my room was a bit niffy but otherwise, nothing negative.
Cons: Whilst we booked a room at beldes, when we arrived they gave us a room at the hotel next door, which was significantly older, less accessible, limited breakfast, and less friendly staff.
Cons: Room was nice but it was on -1st floor and very close (like couple steps) to the breakfast room. so u can have the every single kind of smell+all the rumour of the breakfast in your bed!
stuff was not very kind, we carried our three pieces of baggage to the room and as a woman i carried it out by myself after check-out!
breakfast was ok, but u had to wait like 15 minutes for ur tea/coffee to arrive and once again the stuff was rude.
we asked for a double bed on reservation and they have given us a "attached twin bed" which seperates in any kind of movement! since we spent a part our honeymoon in this hotel, it was pretty disturbing.
great value for money and we would recommend.

Cons: Horrible concierge. booked hotel but placed in annexe, which was two blocks away, not really convenient for facilities. reason give was because of works only to discover hotel was still open and works were an excuse. the works were evident but not so noisy that they were a problem. we asked why we were in the annexe mr vile shrugged and said you didn't object. that's because we didn't realise there was a choice! we asked to be transferred to hotel that we booked but were placed in an appalling room, mini bar broken, bathroom fan broken, sink broken, damaged walls plastered but not emulsioned so big patches of plaster. not great and certainly not what we expected. pointed out to mr vile, his response " you asked to stay here!" personally i'd remove this hotel from your database as they were truly awful. the hotel itself was nice and other rooms, not ours, seemed nice but no excuse for mr vile.
Cons: My nephew and i were sharing a room and had specifically asked for twin beds, we were given a double and the male receptionist couldn't understand our problem with that. we were put up in another hotel for the 1st night and then given a twin room for the remainder of our stay. however, this male receptionist was extremely rude to us after this by totally ignoring us when we handed room key in or collecting it on our return to the hotel. he never said good morning etc. it was a shame because all the other staff were brilliant. this person obviously had issues to deal with!
Cons: The hotel although stylish, could do a little more to maintain decor and sadly the rooms are poorly sound insulated.avoid if you are a light sleeper.
