The hotel Britannia is situated in a very central and quiet position, opposite the Opera House, close to the railway station Termini and well connected to all the main monuments and attractions of Rome.
Stroll along the Via Nazionale to get to the Foro Traiano and then Fori Imperiali, which represents one of the best testimonies to the greatness and magnificence of the Roman Empire. Walk along the Via dei Fori Imperiali and go straight to the Colosseum which is stunning by night thanks to its evocative lighting system.
How to reach the Britannia Hotel?Any point in the city can be easily reached by public transport. Metro Line A Repubblica is located only 400 meters away from the hotel.

Great location, very clean, and helpful staff. for me, those are the big three in terms of most important things when looking for a hotel. plus, the breakfasts are great.Rooms are small (although functional) and old plumbing makes showers poor (little pressure and temperature fluctuations), although the bath tub is luxurious.alland

Hotel was in a perfect position for sightseeing all major attractions by foot, bus, or metro. my friend and i also had two fabulous musical nights in the church, st pauls within the walls, on the corner of the street, a truly memorable experience.NoneAnonymous

The hotel staff were kind and very knowledgable of rome.The room we were given was very small to the fact there was not much more space other than to walk around the bed !the fruit in the bowls left out in the stairs for people staying was old and in need of change .

Excellent location, walking distance to most of the sights and easy access to metro for the rest. excellent service, staff very professional. a bottle of bubbly was sent to our room on my birthday, complments of the manager! breakfast was fabulous for a small hotel and complimentary tea and coffee in room was a bonus. would definately stay here again and would recommend a visit. The staff were extremely helpful. the drink of orange juice on arrival was a lovely touch as was the sweet on the pillow at night and the complimentary slippers. the room was very clean and tidy and the complimentary toiletries were lovely. even the hairdryer worked really well. the decor is wonderful and the air conditioning is extremely welcome after a hot day sightseeing. bowls of fruit on the landing are refilled every day for you to eat. the breakfast is excellent for a small hotel with hot and cold choice along with cereals and toast. it's a buffet so you can eat as much as you like. unlike some places the breakfast is refilled constantly so even if you come down late you get fresh food.Nothing negative at all.Anonymous

Very pleasant and helpfull staff; made us feel truly like guests not customers.If anything, it would help if the en suite bathroom was not an en suite shower!
