"This really was 'rooms' not just a hotel room"

Pros: This really was 'rooms' not just a hotel room. the person in charge was so excellent and kind and breakfast was really nice. it is superbly located in the centre such that iwas easy walking from where we ended up on monday evening to then going out and walking to where we wanted to start on tuesday. price for the centre of a city like rome was excellent such that we really hadn't expected anything more than just the standard hotel room. i'd recommend it to anyone.
Cons: Not at all.

"Very clean, central and staff were friendly"

Pros: Very clean, central and staff were friendly.
Cons: Were not informed at the beggining of our stay that we would be charged for city tax. they sprung this upon us as we checked out and didn't have any money left. they were very rude and sarcastic about it and implied that we were dishonest etc.
