Reviews on Caracciolo Hotel Rome

Cons: Neighborhood is really not great - graffiti everywhere and "seedy" location, but rome seems to have a lot of that. small elevator was slow and only 3 people; could not go up steps due to locked door at top; made it slow to get into your room. on checkout, was asked to pay for mini bar items that we did not consume, though reception let it go it still left kind of a negative feeling; recommend that you verify your mini bar contents at check-in. breakfast was acceptable, but not as good selection as some other hotels. air conditioning could be an issue in hot weather; street is too noisy for open window (everyone honks their horn in rome)
i would recommend this hotel to anybody.
the rooms are clean and well maintained, although there was a slightly strange smell which we couldn't work out, but guessed it was something the cleaners use.
Cons: Nearer the main sites if i could afford it.
