Very clean.room cleaning service very good, clean towells and fresh soap and shower gel daily.helpful reseption staff. quite a unique building.
The only downside was the location. the hotel is a half an hour walk from the collosium (the closest of the well known attractions) with some nasty road junctions to negotiate, although the bus service was frequent and the metro was only a five minute walk away. but you have to understand that a hotel of this standard in the centre of rome would be much more expencive.

Domus sessoriana is a quiet getaway from the bustling roman center but yet in a walkable location to the colloseum. it's roof top terrace is a great place to bring an evening snack and a bottle of wine while you watch the sunset. the front desk staff is very helpful.

Atmospheric, hotel room (quad) was really large, interior lovely and cool despite extreme heat outdoors
Little bit far from metro station to walk in heat after a long days sightseeing

Excellant service provided by all staff including cleaners extremely friendly and helpful. rooms and facilities compare with that of a 4 star hotel. having stayed at the exedra before easily a comparable experience.
Only negative point was that they have no ironing facilities.

Would benefit from a bar.

A very atmospheric hotel that compliments romes historic chracter perfectly. located right on aurelian walls (monastery's outer wall is actually part of the aurelian wall itself)and you can almost imgine the barbarians at the gates ! all receptionists spoke english which was very useful.

Quiet location, no traffic noise. nice roof terrace where you can take your own refreshments.
Not within walking distance of main tourist attractions, although tube was only 5-10 mins walk away.

This hotel is a converted monastry attached to a beautiful church containing artifacts from the crusifiction it is very peaceful and quiet the staff are very helpful and polite we even had a tour of the church with a very nice young man called farizio the rooms are very clean and the beds very comfortable this hotel is ideal for mature travellers and those of a religous nature
Because of the special feel of this hotel you tend to be extra quiet and tiptoe around this trip was made with freinds for my wifes birthday and with hindsight would have chosen somewhere a little lighter with a bar however we would certainly return for a quiet weekend away not reccomended for children and party animals

Very cool hotel. at first, we were like, "where on earth is this hotel?" it couldn't be that big church with the large driveway!", but then after 15 minutes of walking around the block, discovered that it was indeed the case. the rooms are somewhat small, but very clean and the staff are very nice. the breakfast was also good too.
The breakfast could have included some fruit options.

Loved domus sessoriana. the facilities were excellent and the staff very helpful. loved the rooftop terrace and our room was a very nice size and nicely airconditioned.
We had a room at the front and it was a little bit noisy but it was a fri/sat night and we had windows open. place was so nice otherwise that it was but a very small consideration.

A very unique hotel being a former monestary. away from large tourist attractions and crowds, but near metro station.
Breakfast was mediocre, bathroom door rubbed against the floor when opening, toilet seat and lid were broken. these seemed to be easily fixed items, but weren't. there was a loud exhaust duct just outside the window, that could keep you awake at night.

Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant. it's a unique place. i would reccommend it to anyone: young couples, mature couples, single people and business travellers, except those perhaps who dislike church, because the entrance to the basilica is just a few steps away from the entrance to the hotel. a breathtaking view from the window, we could see the monastery gardens below, the clock tower above, the old city wall, two busy streets further off with beautiful lights at night and another cathedral in the distance. high ceilings, everything large and spacious: the halls, the elevator, the breakfast room (with no windows in winter, i would like to stay in this hotel some time in summer, when the breakfast is served on the terrace). we liked it!
