The Alius hotel enjoys an excellent location in Rome, on via Nazionale which is one of the most famouse streets of Rome with beatiful shops resturants. Just go out of the building and you will find busses and the metro wich will connect you to all important tourists spots of rome. Rome's main train station is only a few steps away from the hotel.
Guests will be able to vist many important sights nearby, such as the Santa Maria Maggiore, Santa Prassede, Santa Pudenziana, Santa Maria degli Angeli and Santa Maria della Vittoria churches or the exclusive Quirinale area.
How to reach the Hotel Alius?Almost all busses to important places pass through via nazionale and metro A which will connect you to the spanish steps, villa borghese, piazza del popolo, st.peters busilica and vatican museums is only a few steps away from the hotel. This hotel is an ideal place in terms of transportation.
How to reach the hotel
By car:
The hotel is easily reachable from any point of the Grande Raccordo Anulare, connected to all main highways; follow the indications to Roma centro and then to Termini station. It is forbidden to enter the area where the hotel is located by car, so guests can park their car close to the Termini railway station and reach the hotel on foot, by taxi or by one of the several bus lines available.
By train:
The hotel is 600 metres from the Termini railway station.
By airplane:
The Roma Fiumicino airport is connected to the city by highway or by a local train service, called Leonardo Express, leaving every 30 minutes for Termini station.
The Roma Ciampino airport is just a few bus stops from underground line A terminus Anagnina. The ride to Termini takes about 20 minutes.

Our room had a nice bathroom and the beds were decent.There was no air conditioning in the rooms, and when we returned to the hotel after midnight, we had to wait outside for 15 minutes trying to get someone to open the front door!17 Aug 09
Staff super nice and helpful.. hotel itself is small but worth the money for sure... location is excellent close to the historic places. the price was really good.Hotel is in a very old building and elevator was a pain because it was strange to operate! but nothing to keep me from going back there..30 Jul 09

Very good location walking distance from train and many sites. staff was very helpful and spoke english. room was nice clean, air conditioning, tv ( in italian), a safe for belonings, own bathroom and brakfast every morning, help at front dest 24hrs. None really22 Feb 09

Found the staff very helpful, rooms were clean, hotel was located near to the main sites of rome.The hotel was a bit hard to find as the only sign with the hotel name on was on the door bell, approx 8 cm + 2 cm you have to find it by the address number on the building wall.22 Oct 07

Helpful staff, great location - central and accessible.
good basic accommodation - comfortable bed, private bath, clean. interior courtyard room was quiet.This is less a negative issue than an improvement opportunity -- the continental breakfast is skimpy and of limited nutritional value. fresh fruit and cereals (e.g. granola) would be excellent additions to the breakfast.03 Oct 07
The hotel location was the only strong point of the hotel.There were a few things about the hotel i did not like and felt i did not get what i paid for. to begin the hotel room said there was a phone, air condition and the internet but unfortunately it had none of the above nothing. the only way to use the internet was to do it a reception; with a 10 min limit of course. we had breakfast included with the room but that was a disappointment. we had crossiants from a bag, stale bread and juice that made my stomach uneasy and lastly being charged for things i did not use.26 Sep 07
